Face Eczema
Face eczema is
one of the most common areas of the body. Unfortunately, this is due to the face being exposed to various
temperatures (another cause of eczema and dry skin) and products that may be used on the
face.
Stress may also cause eczema
on the face and neck and can compound the stress further, leading to a
vicious cycle.
Infant With Face Eczema

Face eczema is
common in babies, however, for many babies, the eczema disappears before toddler age and is not a life-long
condition. Your doctor or pharmacist may advise you to use gentle creams on the infants face to reduce the dry skin
and rashy areas.
For those who go
on to have eczema in later life, what can be done to reduce face eczema? There are many natural methods to use
here. Firstly, however, if you doctor has prescribed any particular medication including steroids or otherwise,
then you should go on the advice of your doctor.
However, your
doctor will no doubt, inform you that prolonged use of these medications can lead to thinning of the skin. Also be
careful not to put steroid creams or ointments near the eyes as this can lead to Glaucoma.
To prevent eczema on the face,
try to use 100% organic, natural
skin creams. Sometimes, even the products that mention being hypo-allergenic, still contain some allergenic
properties. Try out a few creams until you find one which does not cause your skin to become itchy and
inflamed.
Try to wear
cotton clothing around your face and neck. One of the main causes for itchy skin around this area is due to
scratchy fibers found in some materials such as polyester and even natural fibers such as wool and wool
blends.
