What Is The Cause Of
Eczema?
One of the most common cause of
eczema is down to the genetics of the individual.
Either parent, both parents, or even a grandparent may carry the necessary DNA for this condition and a
generation may be skipped altogether.
Others can develop eczema in infancy, childhood, teenage
years and adulthood due to developed allergies and sensitive skin.
Eczema can be referred to as "leakage of the skin" which
becomes very sensitive to the environment when exposed to certain substances. The severity of irritation can
vary quite substantially from individual to individual.
So what causes eczema to flare up? There are many common culprits
which seem to be pretty universal in eczema and allergy sufferers.
These include:
* Dust / dust mites
* Pollen
* Food additives (e-numbers)
* Other foodstuffs such as nuts, wheat, dairy products, fish and
eggs
* Certain types of alcoholic drinks
* Chemicals used in household cleaning materials
These substances, among others, can bring on an attack of eczema,
however there are ways to calm and treat the symptoms before they worsen and in many cases, prevent them
altogether.
